Privacy Policy

INTRODUCTION

Prestige Law Office, LLC (hereinafter “PLO”), is a Milwaukee-based legal services firm, which provides general legal services to individuals, private businesses, and not-for-profit organizations. This Privacy Statement outlines PLO's general policy and practices for protecting personal information that PLO collects through this site and any other site that PLO operates, in connection with the provision of the services, and through other interactions with you, including those that occur through telephone, or email. This Privacy Statement explains the types of information PLO gathers, how PLO uses that information, and the choices individuals may exercise regarding PLO's use of that information. This Privacy Policy does not address information obtained offline.

By submitting personal information to PLO, you are consenting to the use of your personal information (including any disclosures, processing, or transfers of your information to third parties by PLO) in accordance with this Privacy Statement. Any consent you provide is entirely voluntary. If you do not accept this Privacy Statement, then you should not use this site or submit any personal information to PLO.

PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTION

To use this site, you do not need to send PLO any personal information. You may voluntarily provide PLO with personal information, such as your name and contact information, by submitting requests through my “Contact” form. Additionally, you may voluntarily provide PLO with personal information by registering for some of PLO's events (i.e., webcasts, seminars, and conferences), or to receive media alerts.

If you choose to apply for job openings through this site, PLO may collect additional information such as your name, address, and other contact information, work and educational experience, licenses and certifications, and other personal information.

PLO does not seek personal information on this site, except where PLO is required to do so as part of the recruitment process. Your decision to submit such information is voluntary.

This site uses "cookies." Cookies are small text files that are placed on a visitor's computer's hard drive that allows PLO and/or the host of this site to record how many times a user or computers within a user's network of computers visited this site, the number of times various pages of this site have been accessed and to track the user's home page customization preferences. You may disable receipt of cookies using features of your web browser that disable or turn off cookies. PLO does not use cookies to retrieve information that is unrelated to your visit to or your interaction with this site.

PLO collects your Internet Protocol (IP) address. An IP address is a number that is assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. The IP address data that PLO collects does not contain any personally identifiable information about you and is used to administer this site, to determine the numbers of different visitors to this site, and to gather demographic data. However, when you submit information via this site, that information becomes identifiable and is kept on record as having come from your IP address. This information may be used to identify you on subsequent visits to this site, and to other sites associated with it, and to personalize your user experience.

The non-personally identifiable data that this site collects is accessible by certain firm personnel as well as certain third-party site designers and personnel involved with the third-party service that hosts this site. To improve this site's user experience, PLO uses all non-personally identifiable data internally. The information is used, for example, to evaluate what portions of the site are more popular than others, to determine where visitors to the site came from, and to determine how many times and how often particular pages of the site were accessed. PLO may use the data to prepare reports regarding site activity as part of the process of maintaining and improving the site.

DISCLOSURES AND TRANSFERS

PLO will not disclose an individual's personal information to third parties, except as set forth in this Privacy Policy, when PLO has the individual's permission to make the disclosure, or as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which the information was submitted. Additionally, PLO may use or disclose personal information under the following circumstances: (1) under applicable law (including to meet a national security or any law enforcement requirement); (2) to comply with a legal process or professional standards; (3) to protect PLO's rights, privacy, safety, or property and/or those of PLO's affiliates or clients; or (4) in a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, liquidation, or asset sale.

PLO may use third-party service providers to provide administrative or operational support to PLO, or to provide engagement team resource services, and may disclose and transfer personal information to such service providers. PLO requires all such service providers to protect the information PLO entrusts to them, and to use such information only as necessary to provide service to PLO. This transfer may result in data passing from one jurisdiction to another, including to and from the United States of America.

In the event PLO goes through a business transition such as merger, or the acquisition or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your personal information may be among the assets transferred.

PRIVACY POLICIES REGARDING THIRD-PARTY RESOURCES

PLO provides links to third party sites that PLO does not control. Therefore, you should review the privacy policies posted on these third-party sites at the time you first visit such sites. PLO assumes no obligation to review or ensure enforcement or compliance with the privacy policy of any third-party sites.

TRANSFERS, STORAGE, AND PROCESSING

This site is operated from and hosted on servers located in the United States of America. If you access and use this site from a location outside of the United States, any personal data you provide to PLO or that is otherwise collected may be transferred to and processed in the United States or any other jurisdiction in PLO's sole discretion. The laws that apply to the use and protection of personal data in the United States to which PLO transfers, or in which PLO processes personal data, may differ from those of your country of residence. Accordingly, users who access or use this site from jurisdictions outside of the United States do so at their own choice and risk and are solely responsible for compliance with local law.
